Dennis Lin attended the Research in Germany, Networking Conference held in New York City - October 5-6,2012. The conference was part of the "Ten year DFG Program in North America" Celebration. There were more than 120 registered participants including Professor Wolfgang
Ketterle from MIT - the Nobel Prize winner in Physics - 2001 along with other members from such esteemed institutions as the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the Max Planck Society. The goal of the event was to strengthen the bonds of research alumni with their former German host organizations. By offering discussion platforms on current developments in research policy and on the potential for cooperation with Germany the conferences helped research alumni to identify career opportunities for themselves and their students.
